Mayor's Message: Beautify MoVal with the Caltrans Tip Line

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Our City is at its best when we all work together to keep Moreno Valley beautiful.

We’ve done a fantastic job. I’ve joined hundreds of residents of all ages and backgrounds in coming together to maintain the beauty of our City parks during our Beautify MoVal Community Days of Service.

Businesses, nonprofits, and community members have also donated their time to maintain the beauty of our streets, trails, and parks as part of the Beautify program. Our Public Works Department is second to none when it comes to maintaining the cleanliness of our City streets.

But did you know there’s another way we can ensure Moreno Valley stays beautiful?

If you see litter alongside our freeways, especially underneath overpasses and around on and off-ramps, Caltrans has an online tip line residents can use to report it.

It’s easy—go to the customer service request line at csr.dot.ca.gov. Once there, indicate the type of request, pinpoint the location and when you saw it, and briefly describe the nature of the situation.

Once you submit the request, Caltrans gives you a ticket number and follows up with emails acknowledging the request, when they’re working on it, and when it is completed.

The Caltrans tip line is just one of the many steps we can take to ensure our City stays clean.

Visit Moval.org/beautify to learn more about how you can get involved to help keep Moreno Valley beautiful.
