Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

I have always loved summertime in Moreno Valley. This summer is especially exciting because we once again get to be with our friends and loved ones. We get to enjoy barbecues, movies, concerts, sporting events, swimming, parties, and all of the things we love to do while basking in the warm summer sun. The City of Moreno Valley has created a series of fun events to make the most of this special summer.

The MoVal Rocks summer series features FREE live concerts performed by professional bands at Moreno Valley’s new Civic Center Amphitheater. MoVal Rocks concerts run every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in July. The new Civic Center Amphitheater also hosts the MoVal Movies summer series. Every Friday evening in July at 8:00 p.m., residents can enjoy a family-friendly movie beneath Moreno Valley’s night sky. Be sure to check out MoVal’s Food Truck Fest on Friday, July 30, at 8:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Amphitheater. There will be plenty of food truck favorites, and attendees will be treated to a MoVal Movies screening of Onward.

If you need to cool down this summer, please enjoy the water feature at Celebration Park.  The Celebration Park water feature operates from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Are you looking to make a difference in your community this summer? Join us for the Beautify MoVal Community Day of Service on August 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteers will meet at City Hall for refreshments before heading out to an assigned area in need of beautification. Register at www.moval.org/beautify.

The City of Moreno Valley also hosts an exciting lineup of recreational classes throughout the summer season for residents of all ages. Please visit www.moval.org/parks to check out SOARING, the City’s official recreational guide, featuring everything MoVal has to offer.

I look forward to seeing our community at one of MoVal’s soaring summer events!
