Mayor's Message: Find Your New Best Friend at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Our City continues to be blessed with an incredible animal shelter, where thousands of pets have found new forever homes. It’s also where I got my two dogs, Kayla and Lassie!

The good people at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter work tirelessly to provide the utmost care for the animals they rescue. Our Shelter employees also provide world-class customer service to Moreno Valley residents who stop by to look for their new best friend.

I am thrilled to share our Shelter has successfully found new homes for nearly all the animals in their care. In fact, the Shelter has logged over 2,000 positive outcomes for sheltered pets last year. That’s a lot of dogs and cats finding their new homes!

This month, the Animal Shelter is starting the new year off right with a special month-long adoption event. Every Wednesday and Thursday throughout January, dogs will be available for adoption for only $50, and cats will be available to take home for only $25!

This adoption event is an incredible opportunity to meet the newest member of your family.

There’s a quote I love from the author Rudyard Kipling, who once wrote, “Buy a pup and your money will buy love unflinching that cannot lie.”

I encourage you to stop by the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, located at 14041 Elsworth Street, and meet some of our wonderful furry friends today.
