Mayor's Message: Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Thanksgiving is here, and families across Moreno Valley are coming together to break bread and share happy moments over a Thanksgiving meal. It’s one of my favorite times of the year.

This holiday season is a special one. With vaccinations on the rise and cases trending down, we have the peace of mind to visit our loved ones again safely.

This Thanksgiving holiday, I’m reminded of a quote from John F. Kennedy, who once said, “We must find the time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.”

I know there are many people here in Moreno Valley who have made a difference in the lives of their fellow community members.

People like our community volunteers who stepped up throughout the year to help maintain the beauty of our parks during our quarterly Beautify MoVal Community Days of Service.

Our City staff, who were instrumental in creating unforgettable events such as our Fourth of July Parade and FunFest, MoVal Rocks/MoVal Movies, and Dia de los Muertos, fostered a sense of community togetherness after a year of challenges.

But mostly, I am thankful for you. Thank you for making Moreno Valley such an incredible City to call home, a place where all our dreams can soar together.

Thank you, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
