Mayor's Message: MVU Extended Payment Plan

By Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley
February 9, 2021 at 02:33pm. Views: 38

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

The City Council and I are always looking for ways to help residents through this difficult time of pandemic.  Recently, we approved a plan to give Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) residential and small-business customers more time to pay outstanding balances without penalty.

Residential customers of Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) can apply for an extended payment period of 12 months to pay a coronavirus-related outstanding balance incurred since March 2020. In addition, if a customer’s income has declined significantly due to the virus, the customer may also qualify for a discount of up to 30 percent, to be applied retroactively to balances accumulated since March 2020.

Small-business customers can apply for an extended payment period of up to 24 months.

The Utility Assistance program applies only to qualifying electricity customers of Moreno Valley Utility.

Please call the Moreno Valley Utility Customer Service line at 844-341-6469 or visit Moreno Valley Utility at www.moval.org/mvu for more information.
