Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
It’s a well-known fact that our parks serve as the beating heart of Moreno Valley.
They are spaces where families can gather, celebrate milestones, take a leisurely walk, and spend a wonderful day outside. Parks and open spaces directly contribute to overall health and wellness, and our Moreno Valley parks have well-served residents of all ages for generations.
That’s why I am excited to announce the grand opening of Moreno Valley’s 33rd park, Santiago Park.
Not only is Santiago Park our newest park, but I believe it will be among our finest. This park will feature a playground area, basketball courts, a walking trail, shaded picnic areas, and acres of beautiful green space.
But the crowning feature will be a state-of-the-art exercise area that allows residents to perform over 84 different exercises. It’s the first of its kind in Southern California, and it will be right here in Moreno Valley.
I am reminded of a quote from the English writer John Ruskin, who once said, “The measure of a city’s greatness is to be found in the quality of its public spaces, its parks, and squares.”
And Moreno Valley’s parks are certainly great!
I invite you to join me and the Moreno Valley City Council on Wednesday, March 23 at 2 p.m. as we cut the ribbon and officially open Santiago Park, located at 24731 Tiger Avenue.
It’s going to be a fantastic event, and I can’t wait to see you there!
