Mayor's Message: Save the Date

By Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez
Mayor of Moreno Valley
08/03/2021 at 02:03 PM

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

I have lived in Moreno Valley since the day I was born, and serving this community has been the greatest pleasure of my life. When I think about how far our City has come, I think of Moreno Valley in the framework established by the great author Charles Dickens -- by seeing MoVal as a tale of two cities. There is Moreno Valley "then" and Moreno Valley "now."

Moreno Valley "then" was a young and somewhat rural community with a growing population and infinite potential, whereas Moreno Valley "now" is a thriving community beaming with opportunities. We have built so much together, and we have succeeded in ways no one could imagine. I want to take this opportunity to invite you to this year's State of the City Address, where I will show you the fantastic things we have accomplished as a community and where we are headed in the future.

Please join us on August 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center for what I believe will be an amazing State of the City presentation. The cost to attend this community event is $40, and tickets are available online at www.mvsotc.com. Make sure to purchase tickets right away, as this event sells out every year. If you are unable to purchase tickets, the State of the City Address will also be available to stream on MV-3, Facebook, and YouTube.

As Mayor, I proudly serve every resident of Moreno Valley, and I look forward to seeing the community celebrate how MoVal is "Stronger than Ever."
