Mayor's Weekly Message 15

Dear Moreno Valley Residents:

This week I would like to update you on our soccer complex renovation and let you know about the status of an upcoming skate park.

Our $2.6 million soccer complex renovation is underway at Community Park.

Crews are busy installing professional grade synthetic turf, replacing synthetic turf which has been in place for more than a decade. The new state-of-the-art turf will feature a cool fill rubber system to create a first class experience for competitors and spectators alike.

And we're busy designing another exciting addition to Community Park - a Skate Park to provide our young people another fun place to practice their skills.

This project is especially exciting because it was an idea that came from you.

Students from all across the City came together to advocate for a City skate park. They circulated petitions and came to City Hall with their signatures.

The community told us what they wanted. And we listened.

We’re in the design phase for the new skate park right now.

Over the next couple months we’ll be asking for the public’s input to help us tweak the skate park design to fit the community’s vision.

Stay tuned for meeting announcements and more developments on this exciting project.

We’re busy making Moreno Valley work for you.
