Mayor's Weekly Message 25

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Kick off your Fourth of July with the City's Independence Day Parade!

Thousands of people from all over Southern California flock to Moreno Valley to celebrate America and everything red, white and blue – and we want you to be part of the celebration!

Arrive early to secure your front row seat to see the parade of bands, dancers, community service groups, equestrians, and local celebrities. This year’s theme is “Let Freedom Ring.”

The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on July 4 at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Frederick Street and ends at TownGate Plaza.

The patriotic fun doesn't stop there! Join us at the Family FunFest to be held at Mountain View Middle School and Morrison Park.

Gates open at 2 p.m. and the bands start playing at 4 p.m.

Bring the whole family for a day filled with fun, live music and food from local vendors. And this year’s event will feature an all ages Fun Zone, including a rock climbing wall, bungee jumper, a giant slide, and much more!

The City’s Fireworks Extravaganza will kick off at 9 p.m. with the entire show synced to patriotic music played by KOLA 99.9 FM.

Please remember, fireworks are illegal in Moreno Valley. Thousands of people a year are injured and some are even killed as a result of fireworks. It’s not worth the risk – or the ticket. Join us for a fun – and safe – celebration.

For more information about our Fourth of July celebration, please visit the City’s website.
