Mayor's Weekly Message 31

By Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez

Moreno Valley residents and members of the Moreno Valley Police and Fire Departments came together for a night of family fun at National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7 at TownGate Memorial Park.

National Night Out promotes partnerships between our police and fire departments and the community we serve - all while bringing neighbors together.

The event provided the perfect opportunity for residents to meet their local police officers and firefighters and check out some of the police cars, fire engines and other equipment they rely on to keep our City safe every day. Police K9s and Mounted Posse were also on hand to show how highly trained K9s and horses work alongside our uniformed men and women.

And everyone had the chance to get to know some of their neighbors.

There was fun for the entire family, including:

Carnival Games | Giveaways | Bounce Houses | Music

Food vendors: Chick-Fil-A | BJ’s | Kona Ice

Together, we can make our neighborhoods a safer, more caring place to live.
