Dear Moreno Valley Residents:

Celebrate the holiday season by joining the City of Moreno Valley at our annual Snow Day and Holiday Tree Lighting this Saturday, December 8.

We are bringing in 65 tons of snow to the Conference and Recreation Center. That’s plenty of snow to build snowmen, make snow angels, throw snow balls and sled!

The Little Elves Tot Lot is for children ages 5 and younger, and Santa’s Snow Sled Runs are for children ages 6 through 12. Sessions are 45 minutes – for just $6.

Snow sessions run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will also be plenty of live entertainment, bounce houses, Santa’s Village, face painting and more! Local food vendors will also be on hand selling delicious food throughout the day.

The festivities will be capped off by our Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring musical performances by Moreno Valley children – and a special visit from Santa.

Free hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. And there will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures with Santa.

Dear Moreno Valley Residents:

We’ve made it easier than ever to gain access to job opportunities in Moreno Valley. Opportunities in the retail, healthcare, and logistics industries continue to abound in our city.

Through our economic development efforts, we have attracted numerous Fortune 500 and international companies to the city. These efforts have led to over 17,000 jobs created in the last five years – right here in Moreno Valley. Our hard work and relentless pursuit of renowned businesses are what led companies like Aldi, Karma Automotive, Skechers, and many others to call Moreno Valley home. In fact, Karma recently invested an additional $100 million into our community with its new “Innovation and Customization Center.”

It is imperative that we make every effort possible to create new job opportunities for our residents and let nothing stand in our way. As a community, we must also stand together and fight against any legislation that could threaten our growing local economy.  I ask for your continued support as we work hard to develop Moreno Valley’s economy, one new business at a time, and one MoVal job at a time.

As a key component to building our local economy, our Hire MoVal incentive program helps businesses advertise job openings and provides Moreno Valley Utility customers with rate discounts for hiring residents.

We also offer Hire MoVal for Small Business, which provides incentives such as business license discounts, free counseling and job advertisement services for small businesses hiring our community members.

In addition to the variety of resources offered through Hire MoVal, our Employment Resource Center (ERC) is a free one-stop job resource center available to Moreno Valley residents.

MoVal’s highly innovative ERC includes:

  • Computer/Internet Access
  • Résumé Preparation Assistance
  • Employment Information Workshops
  • Resource Library
  • Hot Jobs Announcement Board
  • Career Assessment Software
  • Veteran's Employment Service

The Employment Resource Center is located at 12625 Frederick Street in Suite K-3.

Come to the ERC and enjoy all of the resources available to you!

For more information about Moreno Valley businesses, employment opportunities, and job resources, please visit moval.org/edd.
