Mayor's Weekly Message 49

By Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez
Mayor of Moreno Valley
12/14/2018 at 02:35 PM

The holidays are often a time of reflection and giving.

The City of Moreno Valley is making it easier than ever to find volunteer opportunities to give back to our community.

We created MyMoVal.org, an interactive website designed to connect residents with volunteer opportunities available throughout our City.

This incredible resource allows our residents and businesses to work together to improve the quality of life for everyone.

MyMoVal.org belongs to you. It relies on you to update the site with events and charitable causes to easily connect with your neighbors – and potential volunteers.

Organizations looking for volunteers can easily post their local charitable events on MyMoVal.org – and attract helping hands to their efforts.

In addition to the variety of volunteer opportunities you’ll find on MyMoVal.org, the City is also looking for residents to serve on our Boards and Commissions. From the Arts to Parks and our Utility Commission, there is a board or commission to fit every interest.

Visit the City’s website to review current openings to serve on our Boards and Commissions and find an application to become a board member or commissioner.

I really hope you get involved in your City – and apply today!
