Mayor’s Weekly Message 62

Public safety is our City’s first priority.

We have added more police and firefighters, which has further improved our 9-1-1 response time and in the past year, we have taken more than 500 drunk drivers off our streets.  We have trained residents to work together in an emergency as members of Community Emergency Response Team.

To highlight our public safety efforts, we are hosting the FREE Moreno Valley Public Safety Expo on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moreno Valley Civic Center located at 22850 Calle San Juan De Los Lagos.

We invite you to meet the local heroes who protect us, including our brave firefighters, police officer, and their K-9s. You will see exciting rescue demonstrations featuring the Jaws of Life and the Bomb Squad. And you’ll enjoy music, food, giveaways and special appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog, Sparky the Fire Dog and Smokey Bear.

Bring the entire family to this exciting community event!
