Mayor's Weekly Message 97

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

As your Mayor, I take pride in our city’s continuous efforts to create jobs and help job seekers. Here’s a job opportunity that can allow you to make some money and help our community at the same time!

The 2020 U.S. Census starts next April, but the Census Bureau is hiring right now in preparation for the big count. The Census Bureau is hiring 500,000 workers nationwide, including here in Riverside County, where it’s paying census takers and office staff between $15.50 and $17 per hour.

Census workers help gather and analyze important information that determines how federal funding is distributed to state and local programs that affect housing, education, transportation, employment, health care and more.  So getting an accurate count will have a direct effect on Moreno Valley residents for the next 10 years!

Visit the U.S. Census Bureau online at www.2020Census.gov to apply and make a positive difference on a local and national level!
