Mayor's Weekly Message: Celebrate Summer with MoVal Rocks/MoVal Movies!

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

As the summer days get hotter, Moreno Valley offers some of the region’s coolest family-friendly outdoor activities and events.

Among my favorite events are the MoVal Rocks and MoVal Movies summer series at the Civic Center Amphitheater. This is the perfect opportunity for residents to enjoy live music or catch a flick under the stars.

MoVal Rocks, our free summer concert series featuring some of Southern California’s most talented musicians, kicks off this Thursday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. with Stone Soul – one of the finest Motown tribute bands.

And with four other concerts on this year’s summer schedule, there are tunes for every taste!

If you’re looking for the perfect mix of movie magic and family fun, MoVal Movies is a great way to bring everyone together for a relaxing evening. Also free, this year’s MoVal Movies series opens with Minions: The Rise of Gru on Friday, June 30, at 7 p.m.

Visit moval.org/summer for our entire MoVal Rocks/MoVal Movies lineup!

So, bring your lawn chairs and blankets down to the Civic Center Amphitheater and celebrate the summer with us. I’ll see you there!
