Mayor's Weekly Message: Happy Parks & Recreation Month, Moreno Valley!

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

July is National Parks & Recreation Month, a time to celebrate Moreno Valley’s incredible parks, trails, and community services.

My family and I love spending quality time in our parks and trails. They are where we go for a relaxing day, reconnect with nature, and enhance our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Each of our 34 parks has something unique that makes it the perfect place to spend a Moreno Valley day—from the water features at Celebration and Bethune Parks to the zipline at Shadow Mountain Park to the outdoor fitness center at Santiago Park.

Moreno Valley is also a City that works hard to ensure our parks remain beautiful.

Every few months, we come together to keep our parks pristine during our Beautify MoVal Community Days of Service. And our ongoing Parks Rehabilitation & Refurbishment Program will guarantee our parks will remain beautiful for generations to come.

This month, I encourage you to spend a day in one of our parks and trails and check out all the exciting programs and services that make Moreno Valley a great place to live.

Happy Parks & Recreation Month, Moreno Valley!
