Mayor's Weekly Message: Honoring our Nation's Heroes this Memorial Day

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Moreno Valley is a city with a proud military history.

We are home to March Air Reserve Base, and countless veterans call our beautiful city home. Many members of our veteran community have stories of fellow countrymen who gave their lives in service to our country.

Indeed, countless Americans have answered the call to serve in our armed forces throughout our nation’s history, and many did not make it back.

We will honor those brave souls during our Virtual Memorial Day Address on Monday, May 29, at 11 a.m.

I invite you to join me as we commemorate those who died fighting for something greater than themselves—to preserve the freedom and liberty we hold dear.

We will also pay special tribute to local Moreno Valley heroes who made that ultimate sacrifice.

Our duty as Americans is to honor their bravery and heroism with a ceremony befitting of a proud military community like Moreno Valley.

We will broadcast our Virtual Memorial Day Address on the City of Moreno Valley’s YouTube page, the City’s Facebook page, and MV3.

Join me as we pay tribute to our fallen heroes. I hope you enjoy your weekend, and pause to remember its purpose.
