Mayor's Weekly Message: Let's Beautify MoVal Together

By Ulises Cabrera , Mayor of Moreno Valley

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

The spirit of volunteerism is alive and well in Moreno Valley.

As mayor, I see it every day, from our volunteers serving our community on boards and commissions to community organizations adopting and maintaining Moreno Valley roads.

One of my favorite regularly scheduled community events is right around the corner—the Beautify MoVal Community Day of Service, which will take place on Saturday, May 13.

The Day of Service is an incredible display of community pride.

At each event, hundreds of residents of all ages come together to maintain the beauty of Moreno Valley parks.

We paint curbs and walls, plant trees and shrubs, and spruce up playgrounds to ensure our parks remain pristine.

This event is a great way to meet your neighbors, do team-building exercises, and show your love for your community. Since this program began nearly two years ago, I have worked alongside many smiling faces as we help beautify our parks.

This time, we will beautify Adrienne Mitchell Memorial Park in District 1 and Woodland Park in District 3.

We’ll meet in front of City Hall at 8 a.m. for coffee, pastries, and family fun before beautifying MoVal!

Visit moval.org/beautify to learn more and to sign up.
