Throughout Women’s History Month, Metrolink will showcase a few of the outstanding women whose contributions keep our trains on the move. Whether communicating our schedule to passengers, keeping our technology up to date or maintaining the tracks on which our trains travel, the women of Metrolink are transforming the railroad industry.

One of these important women is Fiailoa Ahsue, Assistant Director, Track and Structures Maintenance, who grew up in Moreno Valley.

"Metrolink is unique because you can wear many hats, and get involved in different projects," said Ahsue. "Because we are a small agency, you often have to work with different departments to see things through. It's been really dynamic, my career has been very interesting."

When asked about the greatest influences in her life, Ahsue responded, "the two greatest influences in my life are my grandmothers. They both relocated their families, growing up as young women, with their husbands and children, they were just strong forces in our families, and in their communities. I never realized how much that influenced me until I got older."

She shares insight into her job in this short video being showcased through women’s history month.
