Moreno Valley Achieves Clean California Community Designation

The City of Moreno Valley has earned the Clean California Community designation, recognizing the City’s comprehensive and ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness, sustainability, and community pride.

This milestone follows the successful completion and submission of all required materials, which demonstrate how the City of Moreno Valley meets - or exceeds - the program’s requirements.

The City’s submission highlights wide-ranging programs and initiatives focused on beautification, environmental stewardship, and community engagement, including ongoing litter abatement activities, community clean-up events, public art installations, right-of-way enhancements, and long-term strategies designed to support a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant community.

“This designation is a clear reflection of our community’s pride in Moreno Valley and our commitment to keeping our city clean and beautiful,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “It is a testament to the dedication of our City staff, community partners, volunteers, and residents in advancing environmental responsibility and quality-of-life initiatives.”

Moreno Valley is one of a select group of communities statewide that has achieved this recognition, which brings official statewide promotion, personalized Clean California signage, priority access to national grant opportunities through partner Keep America Beautiful, and affiliation with Keep California Beautiful.

The City’s participation in the Clean California initiative builds upon existing programs, including Beautify MoVal, which includes our Community Day of Service events, and Adopt a Trail/Road/Park programs, that encourage civic engagement and environmental stewardship.
