Moreno Valley High School Unveils New Gym

By Moreno Valley Unified School District

08/02/2018 at 09:59 AM

Earlier this year, Moreno Valley’s oldest high school got a major upgrade to its campus with the construction of the new 2-story, S-Wing class building! This week, we were proud to mark Moreno Valley High School’s next addition -- a newly renovated gym!

MVUSD unveiled the new, modernized gym to its students and community members by hosting the 2018 Summer Commencement Ceremony at the MVHS gym on Thursday, July 29.

“As we're here to celebrate our summer high school graduates, we want you to join us in also celebrating this accomplishment by the community,” said Superintendent Dr. Martinrex Kedziora at the commencement ceremony. "I want to thank our students because they are the reason why we did this!"

Moreno Valley High School is the first comprehensive high school in the district to have air conditioning installed in its gym. This is thanks to the passing of Measure M, which came with the support of our community members.

Visit the MVUSD Facebook page to watch the Facebook Live footage of the Ribbon Cutting inside the Moreno Valley High School gym.
