By City of Moreno Valley

09/13/2018 at 11:14 AM

The Moreno Valley Police Department is recruiting volunteers to help patrol our neighborhoods, be on the lookout for graffiti, and assist with a variety of station tasks supporting our uniformed officers.

Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and be able to pass a basic background check.

Anti-Graffiti Patrol: Trained citizen volunteers assist in surveillance, reporting, leading to apprehension of graffiti vandals by police.

Citizens Patrol: Moreno Valley's trained neighborhood patrol teams help deter crime by being highly visible while driving through shopping centers, neighborhoods, or other targeted areas.

Station Volunteers: By working in the Station, volunteers help with filing, tracking of offenders, and assembling “mug shot” folders. They also help with Neighborhood Watch presentations, work with special interest and business groups, and perform data entry and fingerprinting.

Apply to become a volunteer at the Moreno Valley Police Department, 22850 Calle San Juan de Los Lagos or call 951-486-6700.
