At the November 2, 2021 special elections, Brandy Clark was elected to fill the open seat on the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board of Education.

The Riverside County Registrar of Voters posted their final election results on November 18. As of 12:37 PM on November 18, she received a total of 1,678 votes.

“I am honored for this opportunity to serve my community,” said newly elected Board Member Clark. “My goal is to ensure all students continue to receive the best education possible. I have lived in Moreno Valley for over 25 years. I am committed to students, teachers, staff and our community.”

Clark has played an active role in the community by volunteering in programs involving children with Hemophilia. In addition, she worked with Moreno Valley Pop Warner as a Cheer Coach and Team Mom. She also assisted several coaches within the district's high school cheer teams’ activities and fundraisers.

“Brandy Clark is a dedicated parent and education leader who is proud to serve her community by joining our school board,” said Superintendent Dr. Martinrex Kedziora. “We are so happy to welcome her to our Moreno Valley Unified School District family.”

She has been involved in school programs, which include “Making Excellence Inclusive,” a diversity program at the University of California, Riverside (UCR).

“We are excited to have Ms. Brandy Clark on our team,” said Board Vice President Cleveland Johnson. “She is an active member of the Moreno Valley community, and is a proud parent of students attending our schools.”

Clark has also been accredited in several articles, journals, books, and movies from academic scholars for her contributions in assisting faculty with financial compliance, research, and administrative grants. She has been working at UCR for the past 14 years as a financial administrator.

Her first official board meeting was December 14, 2021 where she was sworn in that evening.
