The Moreno Valley City Council was on hand to officially cut the ribbon for Kaiser Permanente’s brand-new Diagnostic & Treatment Building on Tuesday, June 27, at Kaiser’s Moreno Valley Medical Center in District Four.

Kaiser Permanente’s new Diagnostic & Treatment Building boasts over 93,000 square feet of operating rooms, pre-and post-surgery care areas, a six-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and an interventional radiology area. The new building also includes areas for general surgery, pathology, diagnostic and clinical laboratory services, and more. The building will revolutionize how the Moreno Valley community and the entire Riverside County region receive high-quality healthcare.

“This state-of-the-art Diagnostic & Treatment Building embodies Kaiser Permanente’s unwavering commitment to bringing high-quality and effective healthcare to the community,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “Kaiser has invested over $200 million in this facility and will create many new jobs, signifying that the future of modern healthcare in Southern California is right here in Moreno Valley. I am excited to see the community benefit from this cutting-edge facility.”

“Access to high-quality healthcare is important in every community, and I am pleased to see Kaiser Permanente enhance their already robust level of service with this new Diagnostic & Treatment Building,” said District Four Council Member Cheylynda Barnard. “The residents of District Four and throughout Moreno Valley deserve this level of comprehensive healthcare, and I commend Kaiser for bringing this new standard to the community.”

“This month marks Moreno Valley Medical Center’s 15th year as a Kaiser Permanente hospital, and we’re excited to celebrate the occasion with the opening of the new Diagnostic and Treatment Building. Much has changed since 2008 to transform what began as a small community hospital into a full medical center,” said Sammy Totah, Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and Hospitals, Riverside Area. “This addition helps our community not only by increasing access to health care where and when our members need it but also by providing more jobs for the community.”

The Diagnostic & Treatment Building will officially open to the public in mid-August.

Kaiser Permanente first opened its Moreno Valley Medical Center in 2008. Since then, it has quickly grown into one of the premier medical centers in the Inland Empire, consistently providing top-quality healthcare and services to scores of people from Moreno Valley and beyond.

Moreno Valley’s dynamic business community is second to none in Riverside County and includes multiple Fortune 500 companies. For more information on our growing business landscape, visit morenovalleybusiness.com.
