The City of Moreno Valley has been honored with the prestigious Excellence in Information Technology Practices Award by the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) for the 22nd year in a row.

This award, presented during MISAC’s annual training conference in Monterey, solidifies Moreno Valley's reputation as a trailblazer in municipal technology.

“Winning this award for 22 years straight is not just a streak—it’s a statement,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “Moreno Valley’s Technology Services team continues to set the gold standard in public sector IT. This honor highlights our ongoing commitment to innovation, efficiency, and delivering cutting-edge services to our residents.”

MISAC’s award celebrates municipalities that meet rigorous IT standards, highlighting innovative practices that enhance public services. The City of Moreno Valley has received this award more times than any other city or public entity in California.

Representing over 1,000 members from cities, towns, and local government agencies statewide, MISAC champions effective governance through IT collaboration, education, and best practices.

Prior to submitting, the City’s entry underwent an exhaustive internal peer-review process as part of the staff’s commitment to technological excellence.
