Moreno Valley's 4th of July Events Cancelled

By City of Moreno Valley

06/20/2020 at 09:32 PM

Due to orders by Governor Newsom and the State Public Health Officer still in place prohibiting mass gatherings of more than 100 people to help slow the spread of coronavirus, Moreno Valley Interim City Manager Mike Lee has announced the cancellation of the City's 2020 4th of July Parade, Family FunFest and Fireworks Show.

The City waited as long as possible before canceling this time-honored Moreno Valley tradition in hopes that the state orders might have been relaxed enough to allow the celebration to go forward.

Funds previously allocated for the 2020 4th of July events will be set aside and budgeted to make next year’s celebration even more grand. As always, the iconic M on Box Springs Mountain will be lighted in red, white and blue for the holiday.
