Moreno Valley police officers ran in the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on June 5 to raise awareness for the Special Olympics.
With more than 4.9 million athletes and a million volunteers in 172 countries, the Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities.
The Moreno Valley segment of the run was approximately five miles, winding through some of the most difficult terrain in the City.
Approximately 200 law enforcement agencies through Southern California participated in this relay race.
