On Wednesday, January 7, Mayor Ulises Cabrera and members of the City Council attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Moreno Valley’s second Chipotle location, adding another dining option to Eastern Moreno Valley.

The event, hosted by the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce, was attended by scores of residents, business owners, and representatives from local government organizations, and featured remarks and the presentation of a certificate by Mayor Cabrera and Mayor Pro Tem Erlan Gonzalez.

“Chipotle is widely known for their sustainable business practices, employing responsible food sourcing and recycling,” said Mayor Cabrera. “We are excited to add another business that will be operating in an environmentally-conscious manner and doing its part to reduce waste and minimize its carbon footprint.”

“Residents in District 3 have been asking for more dining choices in the area,” said Mayor Pro Tem Gonzalez, who represents District 3. “The members of the Chamber and the Chipotle leadership team should be commended on their efforts in making this happen.”

The new store is located at 12831 Moreno Beach Drive, Moreno Valley, CA.

As of September 2025, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) operates over 3,900 restaurants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the Middle East, and it is the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe. The company employs more than 130,000 people worldwide and is a longtime innovator in the food industry with proven advances in sustainable business practices and the use of digital technology in its daily operations.
