Palm Middle School earned first place and Sunnymead Middle School earned second place in the Inland Circle’s Middle School Track Sunday, October 9, 2022. All six middle schools in the Moreno Valley Unified School District competed for the championship.

“This was a three-day tournament that was hosted on the weekends,” said Superintendent Dr. Martinrex Kedziora. “I am proud of all of our students for their hard work and dedication.”

The Moreno Valley Unified School District partners with Inland Circles sports to offer a variety of opportunities for middle school students to get involved in sports, giving them a head start to play sports in high school.

“It’s a great way for students to engage in school and develop long-lasting friendships,” said School Board President Cleveland Johnson. “They’re practicing good sportsmanship skills and how to be a team player. The skills they learn will help them become a better athlete when they transition into high school sports.”

Additional sports and programs will be communicated by the schools when they become available. Registration occurs via each school directly.
