Police Department Hosts It's 7th Annual Chief’s Toy Chest Giveaway

The Val Verde District Police Department is thrilled to announce the 7th Annual Chief’s Toy Chest toy giveaway!

This beloved holiday tradition brings joy to approximately 5,700 students within the Val Verde Unified School District (VVUSD).

General education students from Preschool (Pre-K) to 4th grade and all special education students will receive a brand-new toy, helping families celebrate the season with holiday cheer. Highlights: • Meet Santa Claus – Take photos and deliver letters directly to Santa. • Holiday Train Ride – Enjoy a festive train experience around the event! • Food and Treats – Lunch, a churro, hot chocolate, and coffee for all attendees! • Golden Tickets 

In the weeks leading up to the event, we will be handing out exclusive golden tickets to select students. Those who receive a golden ticket will be invited to attend the event early and choose a special toy! Where: Val Verde High School, 972 Morgan Street, Perris, CA 92571 When: Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 11 AM to 8 PM. Who: Val Verde Unified School District students (General Education Pre-K to 4th Grade and all Special Education)

Danny Riggs’ widow, Sarah, along with his two kids, Steven and Kali, are pictured with Carrie Madrid and Pat Washburn, the director of the Men 2 Program. A $5,000 Adam’s Angels grant was awarded to the children of Danny Riggs, who sadly passed away from breast cancer.
