Orange Vista High School held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 7, 2018 to celebrate the completion of their new stadium. The ceremony which brought together District officials, city of Perris officials, Orange Vista staff, students and community, was the symbolic opening of the new home of the Coyotes.

Speeches were made by stakeholders from all groups, followed by the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon by Suzanne Stotlar, Val Verde Unified School District Board President. This led the way for the first Orange Vista High School varsity football game to be played on the field.

Orange Vista High School is the third comprehensive high school for Val Verde Unified School District and opened its doors for their first freshman class in August of 2015. The stadium marks the end of the 3rd phase of construction for Orange Vista High School which also included the addition of a 31 classroom building. Orange Vista currently has 2,266 students attending and will graduate its first class this coming summer.

“We are incredibly grateful for the state of the art facilities that will host many memorable student events at Orange Vista,” said Josh Workman, Orange Vista High School Principal.

The new facility features a synthetic turf field surrounded by a rubberized track. The completion of the stadium also included a new snack bar and seating for 5,271 guests.

“This is more than a football stadium, but a symbol of spirit and pride for the community,” said Michael R. McCormick, Superintendent of the Val Verde Unified School District.
