As Valentine’s Day approached, the Riverside County Assessor – Clerk – Recorder’s Office  geared up for an anticipated surge in marriage ceremonies, embracing the cherished tradition that symbolizes love and unity in the Inland Empire.

The office celebrated a significant achievement in 2023, conducting over 5,000 marriage ceremonies throughout the year, highlighting its unwavering commitment to serving the community.

Peter Aldana, Riverside County Assessor – Clerk - Recorder, emphasized the office’s dedication, stating, “Our foundation is built on a deep commitment to public service, ensuring every interaction is positive and impactful.” He added, “Valentine’s Day is an especially meaningful celebration of love, and our aim is to make each ceremony memorable for every couple.”

Valentine’s Day ceremonies took place at five office locations including Downtown Riverside, Riverside Gateway, Temecula, Hemet, and Palm Desert. The historic 14th Street Chapel in Downtown Riverside stands out as a popular choice, renowned for its stunning architecture and tranquil ambiance, providing a blend of historical elegance for an unforgettable wedding experience.

Couples seeking information on marriage services, including appointment scheduling and office hours, are encouraged to visit the Riverside County Clerk’s Office website at www.rivcoacr.org/Marriages. While walk-ins are welcome, making an appointment is recommended for a seamless experience.

Essential guidelines for couples include:

• Presenting valid government-issued photo identification at the appointment.

• Completing the marriage application online before visiting.

• Bringing a witness if opting for a public marriage license and ceremony.

The Riverside County Clerk’s Office is dedicated to ensuring that every Valentine’s Day wedding is a heartfelt and memorable occasion, embodying the depth and joy of the love shared by each couple in Riverside County.
