Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, combine the pears, cranberries, sugars, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Toss until the fruit is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
3. Make the Topping:
- In a medium bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly. If using nuts, fold them in.
4. Assemble and Bake:
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
5. Serve:
