Spring Cleaning in MoVal

Spring is here, and we all know what that means: It’s time for a fresh start! Whether it’s clearing out clutter, tidying up the yard, or finally tackling your garage, the City has your back. We’re making it easy to clean up your home, your neighborhood, and our beautiful community.

Kick off your spring cleaning by getting rid of hazardous waste safely. If you’ve got old paint cans, batteries, electronics, or other hazardous materials collecting dust, bring them to our Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Collection Event on Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Corporate Yard, 15670 Perris Blvd. It’s free, it’s easy, and it helps keep our city and your residence safer and cleaner. Just remember that explosives, commercial waste, or leaking containers are not permitted!

Need to clear out even more? Not sure what goes in which bin? Our City provides trash, recycling, and special waste handling services to make sure everything gets disposed of properly. Check out our Bin Decoder tool online. And if you’ve got large items to dispose of, our bulky item pickup service is just a phone call away!

And did you know that as a Moreno Valley resident, you can get FREE mulch? It’s available Monday through Saturday at the City Yard—just bring a container and a shovel, and you’ll be all set to give your garden a little extra love.

Let’s work together to keep Moreno Valley looking its best this spring. Take advantage of these free resources, and enjoy a cleaner, greener season!

For more details on waste disposal, schedules, and services, visit moval.org/recycle or give us a call at 951.413.3109.

Happy Spring Cleaning, MoVal!

Photo Caption: Crime in San Bernardino has dropped by 30 percent or more throughout the city. One reason is that there are more officers on the streets. The Police Department’s goal is to have 350 sworn officers. Current full-time staffing is reported at 295 sworn officers and 156 professional staff.
