Supervisor's Message: Its Back-to-School Season!

Dear District 5 Residents,

As the back-to-school season approaches, I want to emphasize the importance of this time for our community. It is a moment of new beginnings and opportunities for our students.

As a former educator, I know firsthand the importance of actively participating in school events, engaging with teachers and staff, and volunteering to make a positive impact. Together, we can ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment for all. Our schools play a crucial role in shaping the future of our city, and we must rally together to support and empower our young learners.

Investing in public education is not just a wise decision but also a valuable one. It serves as an investment in our future workforce, our community, and the long-term sustainability of local, regional, and national economies. By prioritizing good economics, we can contribute to the improvement of our schools. It's crucial to remember that we all have a stake in public education and its success.

Sincerely,

Yxstian Gutierrez

County Supervisor
