Supervisor's Message: New Hire Programs Designated to Support and Stimulate Local Economy

Dear Community Members and Local Business Owners,

In this week's message, I really want to speak to our local businesses and bring your attention to my new "Hire" programs designed to support and stimulate our local economy. Residents, please stay tuned, as this message still contains valuable information regarding opportunities for you as well.

As a former small business owner myself, I recognize that every bit of help can make a difference, sometimes determining whether your business thrives or struggles. It's with this understanding and commitment to our community that I have launched the Hire District 5, Hire a Veteran, and Hire Senior programs.

Here's how it works:

- Requirements: You must have a current Business License or Permit in the 5th District, and the new employee must be a resident of District 5.

- Stipend Rewards: A $1,000 stipend is offered after 90 days of hiring from our local pool, with a maximum of FIVE residents hired from each category (District 5, Veterans, Seniors), leading to a total of $15,000 in stipends.

- Additional Support: An extra $500 will be available after 90 days for hiring a Senior or veteran resident.

These programs are not merely financial incentives. They're a testament to our shared belief in the potential of our local residents, the value of our Veterans, and the wisdom of our Seniors.

I invite you to join hands with us in this effort. Your participation can help shape the future of District 5, fostering growth, and creating opportunities where they are needed most.
