The Liberty 12 "Doo-Wop Float" rocks the Moreno Valley July 4th parade. On July 4th, the Liberty Float, # 12 in the series, made a spectacular appearance in the annual parade. The Sweepstakes Award Winning float, created and designed by Parks Commissioner, Sir James C Baker II, Serena Tremayne, Krystal Cornell, and the fantastic team of float builders, produced this parade favorite.
The float featured Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Little Richard, and the Duke of Earl, Commissioner Sir James Baker and the Duchess of Earl, Serena Tremayne, (who actually knew Little Richard in real life).
This handcrafted beauty kept the crowd on their feet while dancing in the streets. It also features the girls in those Poodle skirts and Lance, a live functional Soda Jerk serving cold lemonade and water. Also featuring special guest returning float riders, Young Philippine Singer, Ysabella Loyola, singing Lollipop and her parents, and also our own reigning, Riverside's Miss Inland Empire, Brittan Baxter.
On this, America's 250th anniversary, the float featured the Statue of Liberty in front and the Giant Jukebox bringing up the rear, all to celebrate America's love of the 1950s era of Music and Stars. A good time was had by all.
