Tia Dobi is this week’s winner of the City News Group, Inc. $1,000 sweepstakes opportunity drawing! As this week’s winner of the weekly prize giveaway, Dobi has won a $30 gift certificate to Uncle Tony’s Custom Cycles.

“I read the Redlands City News every Thursday over coffee,” Dobi said. That’s how I heard about this sweepstakes. I’m always up for fun so I HAD to enter.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dobi has been able to re-ignite one of her passions as she works as a professional copywriter.

“The Pandemic (and the Roaring 2020’s in general) has re-invigorated my passion and faith in marketing,” Dobi said. “You’d be surprised at how many business can soar in times like these."

Just as everyone has had to adapt and change their way of living during this pandemic, Dobi maintains a positive outlook saying, “The owner of Uncle Tony’s Custom Cycles, Tony Martinez,
and all the small business advertisers are smart to keep their marketing mojo hummin.”

Dobi won her certificate by submitting an online entry form on the City News Group website. At absolutely no purchase necessary, Dobi comes up with the big win of this week’s prize as well as an opportunity to win the grand prize on December third of $1,000!

“Winning, to me, is to take the time to feel the feeling,” Dobi said. “There is nothing quite like the feeling of victory. The more you replay the win in your head the more positive thoughts that will go through your mind. A big Thank you to City News Group and Uncle Tony’s. I invite everyone to play the sweepstakes—you’ll feel good, too.”

Uncle Tony’s Custom Cycles’ owner, Tony Martinez is thrilled and cannot wait to provide Dobi and the community with excellent service and personalized hand-crafted detail work.

From a young age, Martinez remembers always tinkering with small engines, lawn motors, eventually moving into working on cars and then finally into his true passion of motorcycles.

“To have the chance to become my own boss and have my own place was just the biggest dream come true ever,” Martinez said.

Despite the current pandemic that we all face from social distancing from friends and family and business closure, Martinez has found himself grateful in a time of uncertainty.

“A lot of people that drive or ride motorcycles some people that’s their only transportation so I’ve been really blessed and lucky to still have work to come in everyday to do,” Martinez said. “Unfortunately the auto industry has been hurt a lot because people are not driving their cars but I’ve been pretty fortunate to still be busy.”
