We are eternally grateful for the brave Americans who served our country selflessly in the name of freedom. They stepped forward to defend our people, our land, and our constitution. We owe them the help and support they need to find work and maintain their health and financial well-being.

Moreno Valley’s Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC) and the Loma Linda VA Homeless Veteran Community Employment Services Team are partnering with local veteran resource providers to host a regional Veterans Resource & Wellness Fair on Thursday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Conference & Recreation Center.

This FREE, in-person resource and wellness fair is designed to help connect our Military community and their families to regional resources for employment, government benefits, education, community resources, workshops, and wellness activities.

This event will serve as a platform to promote healthy living among veterans through various aspects of life, including career wellness, physical and mental wellness, and access to essential resources, such as education, finance, housing, and direct access to veteran-friendly employers. The event features workshops, expert panels, lunch, and a career clothing closet. Attendance and all resources will be provided free of charge.

If you are a veteran, I encourage you to attend the fair and take advantage of the resources and support it provides. If you are a friend or family member of a veteran, please share this information with them. I hope to see you there!

A residence shows visible damage from flooding, mud and debris following severe winter storms that began Dec. 23, which brought heavy rain and debris flows to mountain and high desert communities across San Bernardino County. This week, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved recovery-related fee waivers to help eligible property owners repair and rebuild as response and long-term recovery efforts continue.
