Mary Kay Beauty Consultant Ana Duffy Beautifies, Gives Customers Service Discounts and Chance to Win $1,000

As an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay cosmetics for 19 years, Ana Duffy is in the business of making women look good and feel good about themselves—but she’s taking it one step further. Now through November, when her customers use the gift certificate found in the October 2013 Shop N’ Win coupon book, they can receive complimentary services and be entered in the running to win $1,000. Duffy began with the company in 1994 when she was working as a nurse. She is now retired from nursing, after spending 32 years in the field, and she spends her time working with women and with a product she loves. “When I was first introduced, I was raising three sons, and I found it was a way to make some extra money. Plus, I loved the product. I love building my team, and I like introducing [Mary Kay sales] to women who need a ‘Plan B,’ or would like to make some extra money, or who like to have fun and look beautiful while having fun,” she said. Currently, as a team leader, Duffy oversees a team of 16 women who are all independent beauty consultants. The teams meet once a week. “The sisterhood we have is amazing,” said Duffy. “It’s great to get together once a week with your team sisters and consultants from other teams and reward those who are doing [well] and encourage others.” Operating from Moreno Valley, where she has lived for 24 years—she is originally from Costa Rica, and moved to the United States in the late 1960s—Duffy has traveled as far away as Los Angeles to bring women the products she loves to sell, and products she says help women perk up. “I love enhancing women’s God-given beauty,” said Duffy. “You know, when you look good, you feel good. It’s amazing putting a little color on a woman and suddenly [she’s] chipper. They brighten up; it’s like turning a lamp on.” Duffy’s favorite Mary Kay product to recommend to others is the Timewise Age-Fighting system, a skin-care system featuring a cleanser, toner, a day and night solution, a moisturizer and a base solution to help protect skin from the elements and keep women looking young, shared Duffy. Duffy can be reached by phone at 909-282-0144. She also speaks Spanish. Look for ways you can save and receive complimentary services by looking for her coupon in the October 2013 Shop N’ Win monthly coupon book.
