The Inlandia Institute is hosting the launch event for "Cafe Stories: Riverside’s Zacatecas" by local historian and educator William Medina. Joined by a panel including Judith Auth, Carlos Cortés, and Suzanna Medina, the author will discuss his novel, which draws from the vibrant life and characters of his family's well-known cafe in Riverside. The stories blend fact and fiction, reflecting Medina's experiences and the community surrounding the cafe, including connections with the Nosotros Fine Arts Workshop and artist Leer Larkin. The event will feature a book sale and signing, is free to attend with refreshments, and the opportunity to explore local history books or sign up for a library card.
