Get Active, Stay Connected: Sports and Recreation in Moreno Valley

In Moreno Valley, there’s never a dull moment—especially when it comes to sports and recreation. The city’s Parks & Community Services team ensures that residents of all ages have opportunities to stay active, learn new skills, and connect with their neighbors through year-round programs. “There’s always something happening in Moreno Valley, and our youth and adult sports programs are a big reason why,” a City spokesperson said, highlighting the range of options available.

For the youngest athletes, Moreno Valley offers Pee Wee and Junior leagues that introduce kids to teamwork, confidence, and the joy of play. From T-ball and soccer to flag football and basketball clinics, these programs give children a chance to develop skills while having fun. And this fall, the city is launching a brand-new Youth & Teen Volleyball League for ages 8 to 15, adding even more opportunities for young players to get involved.

Teens and adults can also find plenty of ways to stay active. From clinics and leagues to open-play options in basketball, volleyball, badminton, golf, and skating, participants can engage on their own schedule. The city’s skate parks offer a year-round space to ride, practice, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

To simplify participation, Moreno Valley has made open-play programs cashless, offering easy membership and preloaded card options at the Conference & Recreation Center. And for those looking to join organized leagues, the Soaring Activity Guide provides up-to-date schedules, registration details, and fee information.

City leaders encourage everyone to embrace these opportunities. “I encourage everyone to get out, get moving, and take advantage of everything Moreno Valley has to offer,” the Mayor emphasized. By staying active together, residents build healthier habits, stronger connections, and a more vibrant community for all.
