The Riverside County Sheriff's Department has been awarded a $1,524,997 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice through their NCS-X Implementation Assistance Program for 2019-2020. The grant will provide funding to assist with the ongoing project to upgrade the Department’s Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS). This upgrade will allow the Department to switch to the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) standard for crime data reporting.

This grant will be will be used for the critical system infrastructure needed to support these functions for the entire Sheriff’s Department now and for years to come.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department looks forward to working with the U.S. Department of Justice and their NCS-X Implementation Team on this grant.
